Finding retail shipping supply items: the left side (see image below) of the screen shows a list of major and minor product groups that you may use to browse our product selection. click on the "boxes" shipping to see the list of subcategories that supply appears. if you know what you want you may specify the product description or the item number in the "search" box. items are located based on the product name and the description of the product. use more specific searches to narrow your searches. avoid searches such as "box" or retail supply chain "tape". shipping when searching for a specific box, use the "search" box and enter supply the size in the following format: product information: once you have located an item that interests you, we present a part number and a short retail description. to view more information shipping about the product, click on the picture of the item. we offer quantity discounts for most items, click on the price to view quantity pricing. carton sealing tape is available in two supply varieties, pressure sensitive and water activated. pressure sensitive tape is typically made of pvc or polypropylene backing with acrylic, hot melt or natural rubber adhesive. pressure sensitive tape is relatively inexpensive, provides a good bond for retail many carton sealing applications and is easily applied with an inexpensive tape gun. water activated tape is constructed of kraft paper shipping backing and sometimes includes fiberglass reinforcement. water activated tape requires a stationary dispenser containing water to dispense the tape and activate the adhesive, but forms a superior bond when applied to corrugated cartons. pressure sensitive tape hot melt hot melt tape is also known as synthetic rubber and is typically manufactured with a polypropylene backing. hot melt tape works well from 45-120 degrees, provides a good bond for most carton sealing applications and is the lowest cost pressure sensitive tape available. supply hot melt will yellow with time, but will do so more slowly than natural rubber tape.
